Casa Etérea
Prashant Ashoka‘s off-grid hideaway, sitting on the rugged slopes of an extinct volcano in the Bajio mountain ranges of Mexico, is a nature (and design) lover’s dream come true. Prashant, a Singaporean photographer, based between Tokyo & Mexico city, conceptualized and built these award winning studio-casas, heavily inspired by the concept of emotional architecture, coined by by the Mexican architect Luis Barragán and sculptor-painter Mathias Goeritz. The mirrored casas allow for a seamless experience of the wilderness surrounding them and every little detail has been thought through to make them sustainable. Read Prashant’s heartwarming story of the time when he was nearing the completion of these awe inspiring architectural installations. They are available to stay in and can be booked here.
