Architecture By Yari

The yearning to reconnect, and to represent memories of her homeland – Pakistan, led Areesha Khalid, an architect and an artist in London, to start a creative project that channeled both her nostalgia and her design skills. The project, Diaspora Digest, is a fictional magazine celebrating South Asian architecture, and is a visual embodiment of Khalid’s pride in her identity and heritage. Capturing the diaspora’s nostalgia for the homes and spaces imbued with daily rituals and rich cultural markers & idiosyncrasies, Areesha’s art and art prints can be found on her site Architecture By Yari.
