LimeRoad.com!

A Shoot and a Give Away
LimeRoad.com, an exclusive online store has been a favorite of mine for it’s curated collections and product stories. From handpicked home decor and furnishings to carefully selected women apparel and accessories, shopping at LimeRoad.com is almost like shopping with a stylist as your personal shopper. Inspired by the 16th century Grand Trunk Road, the famed highway that changed the face of the trade in the Indian subcontinent, the team at LimeRoad.com is always on a journey to find some of the best products out there. I also love how the team has focused on creating a highly engaging experience for shoppers on the site and it’s facebook page

So, I was delighted when Diya Sahgal from LimeRoad.com reached out to me for their June campaign, called “Just Like You”. Thirteen women from different fields, each unique in her own right, were styled and shot in LimeRoad.com’s summer collection. With my recent obsession with six yards of gorgeousness, I chose to be styled in a beautiful raw silk saree from Desi Weaves. The shoot was a lovely experience, and kudos to Diya and her team, and the photographer Rishabh Anupam Sahay, for doing a great job! You can take a look at the campaign in LimeRoad’s inhouse online magazine.

  2. The stir(ry) ting tong of spoon
In a glass full of lime
The tasting of sugar to see if it’s all fine
    Do I not remember
How the June sun made me yearn
For a road shelter under umbrellas of lime water taverns
The slurp of the tongue and a bottoms- up at that
Yes, lemonade it was that lifted me to take the road ahead

  3. June up your day with summer tunes,
Threads sing songs of flower beds…
    Swirls in Khadi, jhumkis, pearls,
Yellow Polka dots peekaboo in curls…
Hop on for a ride to Lime Road

  4. On a rainy day….
    My heart giggles and say
Lets go for a walk today

To rekindle the dying romance for a day
To play in rain for a day
To remember my childhood for a day
To be a wanderer for a day

To explore a new road on the way
To throw all my sorrows away
To relax and sip some Lime soda today
To bring the freshness of June in my life, for a day

    Just for a day
    Just for a day
I want to live it in my way

  28. Hum a jolly tune, after all its June, the roses are abloom and there is no gloom. What I really want is to plan a jaunt, a picnic by the sea and brew a cup of tea. Add a dash of lime, a beverage very fine, three cups for the ode and one for the road

Walking down the road on an Indian summer in June, the light shines bright; bringing with it the hues of the season in reds, yellows, pinks and lime!

  32. One warm day in the fine red hills, there was a man sauntering down the road. Under the heat of June, he bore only shorts, a hat, and a peculiar bright lime in his hand. He walked down a winding road and watched the heat waves dance in the distance. His ever growing thirst tortured him. With his lips cracked and his throat parched, he looked into the heavens, praying for rain. The sun crept higher into the sky as he walked. It then occurred to him to satisfy his thirst with the juice from the lime. As he scratched at the skin of the fruit, a sudden scream petrified him. The scream sounded as though it belonged to a young girl. He ran toward the source of the scream down the road. When he thought he had gone far enough, the screaming stopped and there was nothing around. It was as if it were all in his head. Mystified at the perplexing conclusion, he then peered down into his hand. To his surprise, the lime was not in fact a lime at all…

  33. Here's my contribution 😉

On 24th June 2013, I was walking down the road of An Indian Summer's Facebook page. The creative, bold and chic way of twisting the lime things into sugar is what I love about the blogger Bhavna!

    Cheers
