Hiroshi Yoshida

I first came across Hiroshi Yoshida‘s stunning art prints when I was designing the interiors of my first wildlife hospitality project. The beautiful, vintage art worked very well for the tree houses in Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book forest in Pench, India. Since then, Hiroshi’s ubiquitous artwork has continued to mesmerize me.

Hiroshi Yoshida, a Japanese painter and woodblock printmaker, who passed away in 1950,  is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the shin-hanga style. He was a keen traveller and amongst other countries, he visited India and was fascinated by the sights and sounds of the vibrant land. Sharing some of the art that he created inspired by his travels across India.
