Woodblock Tattoos

Miriam, a textile artist from Andalusia in Spain, took the opportunity of being in India to learn the craft of carving woodblocks from master carvers in Jaipur. Using her knowledge and skills of hand poke tattoos that she had picked up in her home country, Miriam now uses the woodblocks designed by her to imprint and/or tattoo beautiful minimal designs on her clients’ bodies. Mostly based in Jaipur to create new woodblocks, Miriam now travels the world with her woodblocks, using them as stencils for her hand-poked tattoo practice as well as her textile arts.
