Mitikusa

Did I ever tell you that I am fascinated by Japan and all things Japanese? And this fascination has only grown after spending a year and a half (and counting) in Melbourne, for like as with any other multicultural city, the Japanese diaspora’s culture, food and design has seamlessly integrated into the fiber of the city. Given this obsession of mine, expect a lot of more of unique inspiration from Japan on An Indian Summer, starting with this quaint little store I found on instagram – Mitikusa. Mitikusa is where Ayumi, the owner of the shop shares her love for everyday objects, especially objects that are vintage and botanical. She sources from all over the world and I love her curated collection! Her apartment has a lovely retro Japanese-Scandinavian vibe, that serves as the perfect backdrop for her products.
