December Mood
Well. This happens every year, year after year. One fine day, we wake up and we find ourselves in the last month of the year, and this year, it’s not just the year, but it’s the last month of a decade! I don’t know about you, but as much as I might have prepared for December, the month always catches me by surprise and I ruminate about my year’s goals and dreams and intentions while exclaiming to no one in general about the hows and whys of the swift passage of time. And then, sometime in the middle of the month, the not-so-distant glitter and sparkle of the coming new year catches my eye, and out come the new notebooks and fresh lists of all the beautiful moments and experiences and things and people I wish the new year would bring. I have this innate belief that as we step over the threshold of one year into the next, we enter the proverbial magical land where the possibilities are immense and the starts are fresh. Growing older and somewhat wiser with each passing year has not dented my bright eyed optimism one bit and January braces itself as I launch myself lock stock barrel and blog, with a song on my lips, a twinkle in my eyes, and, warm socks on my feet.
To match the current December mood, sharing some heart warming images from Lobster and Swan, my go to place for hygge inspiration. I would very much like to continue my year end rumination in these cozy spaces.

Bhavna, I love this site and the way you write. The content and pictures warm my heart. I live in California- been here for a bit more than 3 decades and I long for design posts especially about warm tropical places especially my India.
I delight in decorating my own home and I’m absolutely passionate about it ( and my garden:)
Just wanted to say thank you 😊
