Happy Diwali!

Hello! How have you been?
I have been busy with Diwali festivities and a wedding in the family
Hope you all had an awesome Diwali
And celebrated the festival of lights
By lighting a diya or two

I will now catch up with you next week. Leaving you with some glimpses of the Diwali decor at home this year…

[Blogger gave the option of posting extra large pics as I uploaded the pics, so trying that out. Let me know if it messes up the blog formatting/user interface for you…will get back to regular sized pics]

Drop me a note

  1. Hey, welcome Rosa! Keep dropping by 🙂

Lovely decorations Lakshmi! I loved the rangoli 🙂

Thanks Banu! I had that feeling about the pics too…hence asked the question 🙂
The diya wall hanging is of the bastar iron craft variety. I bought it from the Crafts Museum (in pragati maidan – delhi)

  2. Thats quite a compliment Alexia! Thank you 😀

Thanks for the invite Ash. I feasted my eyes on the diwali delicacies you have put up on your blog 🙂

Thanks Sharon! The rug is a kashmiri rug – made of satin/silk. It was just about the right size to cover my living room's center table – added the dash of color in diwali decor. 🙂

  3. Thanks Patricia! Hope you had a great Diwali too :). I picked up the madhubani from delhi haat..

Thanks Sunita! I use diwali time as an excuse to completely go overboard with bling 😉

Ah, thanks Srivats! Yes, our home is very close to my heart 🙂

  4. Hi, belated diwali wishes! i loved the last picture. can u tell me where u bought that diya stand from?

i suggest that u shud revert to regular-sized pics; they dont gel well with ur blog :).
