Rediscover the old..
It is really heartening to see Indian and Asian influence on international design and products. Things that are used on a daily basis, or some that have been forgotten as ‘old style’ or ‘traditional’, are now being feted in international boutiques as the latest in chic home possession. Lovely write up.
I always feel a tiny rush of joy when I see traditional Indian prints/ products inspiring the creative geniuses of the world. One thing I miss is the same instinct for creative exploration within India. Maybe I haven't searched hard enough, but I haven't found a representation of other cultures in the Indian home industry. Yes its a nascent industry, I agree, and maybe that's why I need to be patient 🙂
Your blog fills in this hole- it brings together the world on a platter..and that's a great start for cross-cultural assimilation and inspiration!
